Meet the Maker Day!

Come and hang out with me, Jolanda, during this Meet the Maker Day! Are you curious about that weird craft, my vision on teaching or if you just want to spend a cosy day together with me and other crafters?
There will be three different blocks where I will be doing demonstrations and where you can try out yourself. Furthermore, I’ll bring my library, some basic craft material and fika.

Hour of the dog
10.30-11.30
The first hour is all about the dog!
On site:
Sniff mats, fighting toys, do-it-yourself enrichment for home use.
Demonstration:
Designing your own enrichment toys from recycled and natural materials.
Bring your dog and try out different products that we offer.
Do you see something you like? Some of the things are available for sale, such as tug-toys and various sniff toys. It is also possible to order personalized sniff mats, among other things.
Bonus: The Ulvens will be on site!
The Power of Nature
12.00-13.00
The second hour is all about natural materials!
On site:
Stinging nettles, plant dyeing, baskets.
Demonstrations:
Basket weaving 101
Why stinging nettles?
There will be plant dyeing kits available for purchase so you can learn how to dye textiles yourself at home.
What can nature offer us? There is so much out there that we can turn into craft materials. Free! With respect.

13.00-14.00
The last hour is filled with everything to do with yarn.
On site:
Sprang, needle binding, tablet weaving.
Demonstrations:
Learn to recognize fiber types.
Sprang 101
There will be tablet weaving kits available for purchase so you can learn to weave on your own at home.
There is a technique for every purpose. There is a fiber for every desire. Come and learn about what exists beyond the everyday!
Throughout the day…
The Green Fenix has over the years amassed a large library of craft books. This library will be on site! So browse freely and be inspired.
What would a day be without coffee? Coffee, tea, juice and some goodies are offered. Please let us know when you register if you have any dietary requirements.
